Community Service Network, Inc. and Winchester Cooperative Bank will be
hosting a First Time Home Buyer Workshop in May-June 2013-This Workshop is now full. Online First-Time Homebuyer Course
Each of the four sessions will be held from 6:00 PM sharp to 9:00 PM. This course is designed to help you learn about obtaining a mortgage, your credit, preparing for your down payment, getting ready to buy a house, how to find “YOUR” house and how to find the best deal for you. There is no cost to participants for this class. Upon completion of the four
workshops, attendees will be awarded First Time Home buyer certificates. (Approved by HUD as a housing counseling
agency-certificate qualifies for some financial product options. CHAPA
Gold Seal of Approval recipient.) Participants must be preregistered for the class. (click on homebuyer registration form below-form is removed when the class is full.) Classes are limited to 20 participants on a first come first served basis.
If you are in process of obtaining a MassHousing loan to purchase your first home, and you are unable to participate in one of our in-person First Time Home Buyer classes, CSN will be offering an online version of the First Time Homebuyer Course. This is an approved Masshousing and a Citizens’ Housing And Planning Association (CHAPA) course. This class will consist of 6 modules, each with its own quiz that
must be passed with a score of 80% or above. Once finished with all six
modules, participants must participate in an exit interview with
one of CSN's First-Time Home Buyer Counselors at the CSN's offices. This course costs $85 per person or per couple registering together.
